Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations in electronic health records
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures under clinician guidance
- Respond to patient call lights and provide timely assistance
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure coordinated care delivery
- Maintain sterile environments and follow infection control protocols
- Support emergency department workflows during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or EMT certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in acute care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during emergencies
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficient in using EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
