Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care during night and weekend shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies using critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across shifts
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while updating electronic health records accurately
- Educate patients and families on health management protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state license)
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required) with PALS preferred
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling including weekends and nights
- Strong assessment skills and emergency response capabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork proficiency
- EMR experience (Epic or Cerner preferred)
