Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during night and weekend shifts in emergency and urgent care settings
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Perform diagnostic procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and triage incoming cases
- Assist in emergency response situations and code activations
- Collaborate with cross-functional healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Pennsylvania state medical assistant license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in emergency/urgent care
- BLS/CPR certification (required) and ACLS preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
