Responsibilities
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions during night shifts using advanced telemetry systems
- Assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), including bathing, feeding, and mobility support
- Perform ECG monitoring, phlebotomy, and specimen collection per protocols
- Document patient assessments accurately in Epic EHR system
- Collaborate with RNs during shift changes and emergency situations
- Respond promptly to patient call bells and alarms with compassionate care
- Maintain sterile environments during procedures and supply management
Qualifications
- Current Indiana CNA or PCT certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 12-hour shifts
- Strong attention to detail during overnight monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
- Comfort working independently during low-census periods
- Flexibility to rotate weekends and holidays
