Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during evening and weekend shifts, including vital signs assessment and medication administration
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Coordinate patient flow and triage services during high-volume overnight periods
- Assist with emergency response protocols and critical patient interventions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Perform diagnostic testing procedures including EKGs and phlebotomy
- Support patient education and discharge planning for weekend admissions
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Nursing Assistant (NA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
