Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records during evening/weekend shifts
- Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Handle patient inquiries via phone and secure messaging portals
- Process insurance verifications and billing documentation
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient interactions
- Assist with weekend patient check-ins and discharge procedures
- Prepare end-of-shift reports for overnight clinical teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare administration or patient coordination
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently during off-peak hours
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Flexibility to work alternating weekends (Sat/Sun shifts)
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
