Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend and night shifts, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Manage patient flow in urgent care settings during peak weekend hours
- Coordinate patient education and discharge planning for overnight admissions
- Sterilize equipment and prepare examination rooms for weekend patient volume
- Respond to after-hours patient inquiries with empathy and clinical accuracy
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Availability to work rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) and overnight shifts (7pm-7am)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and medical documentation
- Strong communication skills for high-pressure night shift interactions
- Ability to multitask during peak weekend patient volumes
