Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds
- Assist patients with mobility needs and maintain comfort during transfers
- Operate medical transport equipment following safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status
- Maintain accurate transport documentation and equipment logs
- Respond to emergency transport requests with urgency and professionalism
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of transport vehicles and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Current CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for overnight shifts
- Previous healthcare or customer service experience preferred
