Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and document observations in electronic health records
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans
- Prepare and maintain patient environments for safety and comfort
- Administer basic treatments under supervision (e.g., ECGs, wound care)
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Current CNA or EMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification must be maintained
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours during overnight shifts
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable transportation for weekend night shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends as needed
