Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care during night and weekend shifts in emergency and outpatient settings
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including wound care, injections, and EKGs
- Maintain accurate patient records in Epic EHR system with strict HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs during overnight hours
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure sterile exam environments
- Respond to patient inquiries with empathy during off-peak hours
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Current NY State Medical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS credentials
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proven ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and medical documentation systems
- Flexible availability to work nights (7pm-7am), weekends, and holidays
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education during off-hours
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
