Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and sample collection
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with lab services and external healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA/NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently during evening/weekend shifts
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend and night shifts
