Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend and overnight shifts (Sat-Sun 11PM-7AM)
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and basic lab procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist with patient triage and emergency response protocols
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and nursing staff
- Ensure HIPAA compliance during all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
- Strong attention to detail in documentation
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- California state medical assistant license
