Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech, AGI) and their commercial implications
- Develop future-state roadmaps for 2026+ product ecosystems
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive market shifts
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-generation solutions
- Present strategic foresight to executive stakeholders and industry forums
- Build and lead a futurist innovation lab
- Author thought leadership on exponential technology trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology strategy
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant field
- Proven experience developing 5-10 year strategic frameworks
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential technologies (quantum, AI, neurotech)
- Published thought leadership in industry journals (e.g., MIT Tech Review, Nature Futures)
- Executive-level presentation skills with Fortune 500 experience
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., APF, Foresight Practitioner)
