Responsibilities
- Scan global tech landscapes to identify disruptive opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for product innovation aligned with market evolution
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to anticipate industry disruptions and competitive shifts
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype future-facing concepts using rapid iteration
- Present visionary insights to stakeholders through compelling data-driven narratives
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, scientists, and industry disruptors
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to embed foresight into product development cycles
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic innovation, R&D, or consulting with proven futurist impact
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains: generative AI, synthetic biology, quantum computing
- Exceptional scenario-planning and trend analysis capabilities
- Experience translating complex concepts into actionable business strategies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystems
- Published thought leadership on future technologies (whitepapers, articles, patents)
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning, weak signal analysis)
