Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support including patient intake, vital signs, and preparation for examinations
- Assist physicians with procedures and maintain sterile examination environments
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems following HIPAA protocols
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and basic laboratory procedures
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage inventory and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized
- Serve as primary point of contact for weekend patient inquiries and triage
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Arizona BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable for diverse patient population
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
