Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor weekend operations team (15+ staff) to maintain 99.8% service level performance
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, and distribution center activities
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives reducing weekend operational costs by 15%
- Resolve complex supply chain disruptions and escalate critical issues to senior leadership
- Generate weekly performance analytics and strategic recommendations for executive review
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with weekday managers for seamless handovers and process alignment
- Train staff on new technologies and SOPs to maintain operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- 5+ years experience in logistics/operations with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record managing weekend/holiday operations in high-volume environments
- Advanced proficiency in WMS/TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities under pressure during peak periods
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime shifts
