Responsibilities
- Perform complex clinical laboratory tests including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology
- Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic equipment with strict adherence to quality control protocols
- Analyze and report test results with 99.9% accuracy within established turnaround times
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide critical diagnostic insights for patient treatment plans
- Implement and maintain CLIA/CAP compliance standards and safety procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related biological science
- ASCP or equivalent certification required (MLT or MLS)
- Minimum 2 years' clinical laboratory experience with weekend shift preference
- Expertise in automated laboratory instrumentation and LIS systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ohio State Medical Laboratory Technologist license
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage while maintaining team communication
