Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, EKGs, and preliminary assessments during weekend shifts
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate weekend patient flow and triage urgent cases
- Administer injections, medications, and immunizations per protocols
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Exceptional weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday 8am-6pm)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly valued
- Ability to thrive in high-volume weekend patient settings
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
