Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Administer medications and injections per provider protocols
- Prepare and maintain sterile exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule weekend appointments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced weekend environment
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends (Sat/Sun shifts)
