Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care assistance including bathing, feeding, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs with precision
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers and equipment setup
- Maintain clean, sanitized patient environments per hospital protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency signals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work weekends (Fri-Sat) and night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Compassionate demeanor and commitment to patient dignity
- No prior healthcare experience required
- Valid Minnesota driver's license (if transporting patients)
