Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end systems for Mars habitat life support, waste recycling, and energy generation
- Design quantum-encrypted interplanetary communication networks with <20ms latency
- Lead development of AI-driven autonomous systems for habitat maintenance and resource allocation
- Integrate bioregenerative systems with mechanical life support for 100% closed-loop sustainability
- Validate systems through NASA-grade simulations and prototype testing in Mars-analog environments
- Collaborate with SpaceX, Blue Origin, and ESA partners on mission-critical interoperability
Qualifications
- Masters/PhD in Aerospace Systems Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- 5+ years experience in space systems design or extreme-environment engineering
- Expertise in AI/ML integration with physical systems (TensorFlow, ROS)
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for complex system modeling and simulation
- Certification in ISO 21348 (Space Systems Quality Management)
- Published research in astrobiology, closed-loop ecosystems, or autonomous systems
- Ability to work in Mars-analog environments (desert/arctic simulations)
