Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end systems engineering for 2026-era spacecraft propulsion architectures
- Develop AI-driven autonomous navigation protocols for deep space missions
- Design closed-loop life support systems for extended lunar/Martian habitation
- Validate thermal protection systems for hypersonic re-entry vehicles
- Optimize ISRU processes for in-space propellant manufacturing
- Interface with NASA JSC and commercial partners on technology integration
- Mentor cross-functional teams in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Qualifications
- M.S. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in spacecraft systems design with 2+ years on NASA/DoD programs
- Expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo Systems Modeler
- Proficiency in thermal/fluid dynamics simulation (ANSYS, COMSOL)
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Published research in AIAA/IEEE journals on space systems
- Experience with NASA-STD-1002 systems validation protocols
