Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AI convergence
- Secure and manage $5M+ R&D budgets with C-suite stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams of 15+ engineers, researchers, and designers
- Identify and capitalize on emerging tech trends through market analysis
- Drive patent portfolios with 20+ annual filings in core innovation areas
- Present strategic vision to investors and board members quarterly
- Mentor junior innovators through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Biotech, or Engineering
- 8+ years in R&D leadership with proven 2025+ tech roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Successful track record of securing $3M+ in innovation funding
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience scaling teams from 5 to 50+ technical professionals
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
