Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop quantitative and qualitative future scenarios for strategic decision-making
- Partner with R&D teams to prioritize innovation portfolios aligned with future market demands
- Deliver executive briefings on emerging risks and opportunities in 2026-2030 timeframe
- Design and implement foresight methodologies across global business units
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers and industry conference presentations
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking frameworks and tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-oriented role
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences and diverse stakeholders
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFIF) strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating future-focused projects or publications
