Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual 2026 Technology Impact Assessments analyzing AI, biotech, and quantum computing trajectories
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical shifts and resource scarcity challenges
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineering and design teams
- Present strategic foresight briefings to board members and external investors quarterly
- Curate partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Establish KPIs for measuring long-term strategic initiatives against predicted futures
- Author thought leadership pieces for industry publications and internal stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful long-term technology commercializations
- Expertise in exponential technology forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning)
- Proficiency in systems modeling tools (AnyLogic, Stella Architect) and data visualization
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on emerging technology impacts
- Experience advising Fortune 500 boards on 10-year strategic pivots
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or University of Oxford)
