Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service through product knowledge, styling advice, and personalized recommendations
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems while maintaining cash handling protocols
- Execute visual merchandising standards including floor sets, displays, and inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to maintain store cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence
- Meet/exceed sales targets through upselling techniques and loyalty program engagement
- Support inventory processes including receiving, stockroom organization, and loss prevention
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience preferred
- Weekend availability required (Saturdays & Sundays, 8am-6pm)
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse clientele
- Basic math proficiency and comfort with point-of-sale systems
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Professional appearance and positive, solution-oriented mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent; college students welcome
- Reliable transportation to DC's downtown retail corridor
