Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) system compliance
- Schedule diagnostic tests and specialist consultations
- Communicate effectively with patients/families during weekend hours
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and emergency department staff
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance standards
- Resolve patient inquiries and escalate complex issues appropriately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years healthcare coordination experience
- Proficiency in Epic or Cerner EHR systems
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend coverage
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Spanish bilingual proficiency (highly preferred)
- Experience with patient scheduling software (e.g., Athenahealth)
