Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical equipment during overnight hours
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and swift action
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under physician guidance
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and day-shift teams for care continuity
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education and emotional support during critical hours
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Technician or EMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in overnight healthcare settings
- BLS/ACLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong crisis intervention and critical thinking skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends (Sat/Sun) 7 PM - 7 AM
- Pass background check and drug screening
