Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with nursing staff for patient flow
- Handle insurance verification and billing tasks
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Flexible availability for weekends/nights
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Tennessee medical assistant license
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
