Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain accurate medical records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage administrative tasks
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure exam rooms are sanitized and medical supplies are stocked
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexible availability for Saturday/Sunday shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Basic ECG and phlebotomy skills preferred
