Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with clinical procedures
- Accurately record medical histories and vital signs in electronic health records
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform lab tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Coordinate patient education materials and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
