Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Sterilize equipment and prepare examination rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with other healthcare teams for seamless patient transitions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Tennessee state license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
