Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during weekend shifts, including vital signs measurement, patient intake, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and attention to detail
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations during high-volume weekend hours
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical equipment, and inventory supplies
- Deliver patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Medical Assisting from accredited institution
- Current Michigan Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient or hospital setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with valid expiration date
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare team
