Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly, professional demeanor, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently, handling cash, credit, and gift cards with accuracy.
- Assist customers in locating products and provide knowledgeable recommendations when necessary.
- Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and restrooms clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Process customer returns and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to stock shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety guidelines and reporting hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; however, we welcome candidates with a strong willingness to learn.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a recurring basis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical activity (e.g., lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, reaching).
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Basic computer literacy and strong attention to detail.
