Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital signs, mobility assistance, and medication monitoring
- Document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with daily living activities for post-surgical and long-term care patients
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Support family education on care procedures and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or hospital experience
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (7am-7pm)
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend schedules
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
