Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for practical quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead research projects targeting quantum advantage in machine learning applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Interface with industry partners to translate theoretical advances into commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated ability to work with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for ethical quantum technology development and deployment
