Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care assistance including bathing, feeding, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient conditions, and care activities
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and maintain sterile environments
- Operate medical equipment such as EKG machines and patient monitors
- Ensure patient rooms meet safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call systems and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and nights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license may be required for facility transport
