Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly, professional demeanor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers in locating products, providing detailed product information, and making recommendations.
- Process sales transactions accurately at the point of sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit payments efficiently.
- Maintain the visual appearance of the store by organizing shelves, restocking inventory, and ensuring displays are clean and appealing.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues to the store manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations during peak weekend hours.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to medium objects (up to 25 lbs).
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks quickly.
