Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during evening and weekend shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Monitor vital signs and document patient progress in electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and emergency services when needed
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Support patient education and discharge planning for weekend admissions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Current NC Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in acute care or urgent setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong documentation skills with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and weekends
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes
- Valid NC driver's license for occasional transport needs
