Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient intake and triage during weekend and night shifts
- Administer medications and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Perform basic lab tests and point-of-care diagnostics
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and nursing staff
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
