Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during night and weekend shifts, including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and communication between departments
- Perform laboratory tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Train and mentor new staff on clinical protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for patient care quality
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and current Ohio state license
- Strong knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Background check and drug screening clearance
