Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and patient preparation for examinations
- Administer injections, medications, and assist with minor procedures under physician supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, rooming, and appointment scheduling for weekend patient volume
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment, exam rooms, and supplies
- Assist with patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize weekend clinical operations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work autonomously during weekend shifts
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Arizona State Medical Assistant license (if required by state)
