Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market forecasts and industry disruptions
- Lead research initiatives in quantum computing, AGI safety protocols, and climate-tech solutions
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech capabilities into commercial offerings
- Produce strategic whitepapers and thought leadership content for industry conferences
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for prototyping and future-tech experiments
- Identify emerging threats and opportunities in global tech policy and regulation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech/climate)
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published research in IEEE Nature or equivalent tier-1 journals
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Java preferred)
- Experience advising C-suite on technology disruption scenarios
