Responsibilities
- Analyze blood samples and bodily fluids to detect diseases and abnormalities using advanced laboratory equipment
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accurate test results and maintain regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide critical diagnostic information
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and documentation following HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Train and mentor junior technicians on laboratory protocols and safety procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related field
- ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with weekend shift availability
- Proficiency in operating automated laboratory analyzers and information systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precise laboratory procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to function effectively in a team environment
