Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient support
- Maintain clean, safe clinical environments following infection control standards
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families
- Participate in weekend shift handovers and care planning meetings
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification or equivalent healthcare credential
- Minimum 1 year acute care or long-term care experience
- Weekend availability with flexible scheduling commitment
- Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Basic ECG monitoring and medication administration skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid CPR/BLS certification with willingness to maintain
