Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient flow and manage clinical operations during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and assist with clinical procedures under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Lead weekend staff huddles and ensure protocol compliance
- Handle patient intake and discharge procedures efficiently
- Inventory management and equipment sterilization
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and emergency response teams
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field required
- Current California Clinical Medical Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in weekend/shift-based healthcare roles
- BLS/CPR certification (maintained)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional communication and crisis management skills
- Ability to work independently during off-peak hours
- Valid California driver's license for mobile patient transport
